yup, until 1984 when he signed for audi and beat everyone in the monte carlo
rally.  he took the 1982 drivers championship in the opel, and then signed for
lancia...

rohrl had races with porsche, opel (ascona 400) and lancia.  the lancia rally
was mid-engined and raced in 1982-4, until replaced with the delta s4.

in 1982, rohrl was with the opel team, and beat michele mouton to the drivers
chamionship, while audi won the makes.  in 1982 markku alen was in the lancia
rally, and henri toivonen in the other opel.

in 1983 with the quattro's developed to group 'b' spec, audi won the drivers
championship, while the lancia rally 037 won the makes.  rohrl and alen were
the key drivers for lancia.

in 1984 rohrl signed for audi, who won both drivers and makes...
