Center Vents Don't Blow - Check your Heater Valve

Hi All:

Thought I'd pass on this potential quick fix. My center vents didn't
blow so I got a new used programmer one from a fellow lister (Works
just fine Scott). Anyway, still no blow from the center even though I
could see the vacuum motor budge just a bit to open the center vent.
Checked all the lines, they all held vacuum. Heater valve open and
closed under vacuum.

Not to belabor the point, but I'm so tickled with myself I just can't
help it.  The diapragm for the heater valve leaks.  Not enough so that
the heater valve doesn't close but enough for the center vents to not
open.  Connected a new heater valve to the vacuum line and everything
works.
