ur-q loudspeaker upgrade - info needed

Hi folks,

I'd like to upgrade the original loudspeakers in the '85 ur-q but on first
inspection it looks like it can't be done, at least not the front ones.  Has
anyone BTDT and have recommendations?  I don't want to cut  ANY holes
anywhere!  I've just bought a Sony minidisc player and want to improve on
the sound a bit.
