I find that I intermittently have to do this to the pump on my 1988 90q
to restore proper operation. However, I have paid particular attention
to the contacts, including ProGold applications and internally
resoldering the pump connector. and am becoming convinced that the
internal logic itself is loosing its memory of the last lock state. I
think this is demonstrated by wiggling the connector with no response
until the connector is pulled and the 12V power is lost. Upon
restoration of power the states are reset and the locks work correctly
for a time.
