Torsen availability...

I know what I said earlier today but I'll be quick about it...

For the record, I have found references Gleason's Torsen diff dating back to
1980 ... Audi may not have chosen to race it until 1984 but this definitely
_wasn't_ because they didn't exist until then.

The next time I speak with Mr. Chocholek (and the other Torsen "experts"
I've turned up), I'll try to find out more about the history of the device
and/or Gleason's involvement with Audi ... last time around, my focus was
primarily on technical matters but clearly historical matters are of at
least as much interest to everybody.
