Joe, how long have you had the car?  Is it different from usual?  The 4k
guage is a real guage, meaning as the car warms up, the temp will move up
significantly.  If this is because of slow traffic, then your situation may
be normal.  The side vents do blow warm air, the center vent blows outside
air, but if it is warm, and you are in traffic, then this too could be
warm.  I'd check the overflow tank, make sure the fluid if filled and good
before messing with anything.  The temp guage is not like a GM car...always
on cold unless you have a problem, then skyrocket to an overheating
condition.  -Wendell
