Different _width_ wheels, not different diameter tires. If the _tire_ diameters are in fact substantially different you are correct, that will cause problems.

Not laghing... In fact, alarmed. Different tire sizes between front and
rear will cause distress (or confusion for Torsen?) at center
differential. Not good.
