Re: shift boot replacement

Want to thank all those who responded with a solution to my shift boot on my
87 5KSQ. I think the home-made leather idea wins over all (the wife is great
with the sewing machine). Since you guys (gals) are so great with resolving
problems, I have two more to consider.
I bought a fog light switch for a 90 model that fits exactly into my acc dash
slots for my '875KSQ. I don't want the fogs to be controlled by the highbeam,
just manually available. The switch has 5 (five!) contacts (spade conectors).
All I want is the switch to light up at night when dash lights are on and go
brighter when fogs are on. Any ideas what wires go to which connector. My
Bentley wiring shows nothing since my car did not come with fog lights.

Second question regarding my '86 4KCSQ. This sweetie has 52K orig miles and
drives like it. It recently had lower control arm bushings replaced and
struts all around. (Age related wear) Before and also after the work, I hear
a clunking when the steering goes significantly in either direction. My
front-end man found nothing amiss, and the original owner said it did the
clunk noise since new. Has any one else had this "normal" noise?

Thanks again, you're the Best!
