Environmental political correctness (no Audi content)

I have to smile at Al Powell's well intented but futile attempt to dispose
of used anti-freeze.

Some years ago I was cleaning out one of my rental units (ahh, the joys of
slumlording), and found a bright red biohazard box full of used hypodermic
needles. (Pucker factor warp 9!)

Not exactly the thing I wanted to put on the curb to wait for the trash guys!

I called and went to no less than SEVEN local hospitals/medical facilites
etc., over the next four hours, and finally found one which would take it.

Man with gun: "Are you the guy with the box of sharps?"

Me: "Yes."

Man with gun: "OK, follow me."

We went down miles and miles of hospital corridors, eventually emerging at
the back of the complex - whereupon the security guard took the entire
container and casually tossed it into an un-fenced, un-guarded plain old
dumpster, easily and immediately accessable to any junkie who needed to
upgrade his "works".

Makes ya wonder!
