Can't help you with the wheels, but, I have seen many Pro Rally cars running the Hakka 1s/10s M&S tahrs with success. They are available in the 175-70-14 size that you seek.

Wanted:  Alloy wheels for 87 4kqcs.  

Also advice on tires for unpaved roads.  Will be used for TSD rally on dirt
and gravel.  I am considering 185-70x14 BFG Trailmaker Plus.  The 175-70x14
M&S are almost nonexistant.  Also the 40 rev/mile difference will go a long
way to correcting the 5% error in the odo.
