Re: Drivers Window
Gary-I had a similar problem with my V8. The repair is straight forward. You
need a soldering iron, some heat shrink tubing, a heat gun ,and some wire to
splice into the harness. I'm sure this repair is documented in the archives(
which I do not know how to search), but but being on the lazy side, I took a
short cut. The conventional wisdom would have you locate the appropriate
connector in the drivers side foot well and disconnect to provide a service
loop to effect repair. I skipped all that, and peeled back the protective boot
to expose the portion of the harness across the door jamb where the wires
break from repeated flexing. Its cramped, but with care you can splice in some
like gauge wire, and cover with heat shrink. It worked for me.
