nick-names for our cars

does anybody refer to their car by another name other than "the car."
for example, although i go to school and live in boston, i still have my
new york plates on my 5kcst (new york pride!).  my plates are unusual
(attained via the spoils system), and they read (statue of liberty) 8F
22.  whenever i refer to my vehicle, i'll say something like "let's take
8F 22 [pronounces eight 'F' twenty-two] to the store."  now it is to the
point where my friends also refer to the car as 8F 22.  when a lay
person is around and we speak of 8F 22 and they don't know what we are
taking about, it is almost offensive, like the owner of a cat not
knowing it's gender.  anyway, interested to see if other people have
names for their cars, like K.I.T.T. and Michael Knight.  (great show).
