'85 Ur-Q collectors
I think Glen's analysis is a good one. However, the whole "collector"
question is a wait-and-see proposition.
I think if you take out the limited edition cars that had great appeal
among people with money [959, Daytona, etc] the last 20 years has
shown very few foreign cars to have mass appeal. There are some, no
doubt. But, for every car you can name with it, there are dozens that
don't have it--and probably never will. Have you seen the market on
good condition 928-s4's?
I think the Audi market has its cult followings. But, in the
long-term, I think American iron will always be king here so far as
the true production car collectors are concerned [priced a GNX
lately?].
As a whole, I think production Audi's are good cars with a minimum of
collector appeal 20-30 years after build date. But, what do I know?
I thought $15,000 was an outrageous amount of money for a low mile
hemi-cuda 15 years ago.:)
Well, that is it for me on this thread. Hope all your cars become
worth a mil:)
