I don't know how your mirrors are designed, but mine were attached to
a plastic mounting bracket that fits onto the adjusting mechanism.

The glass may be coming unglued from that bracket.  Peal it off immediately
so that it does not fall onto the pavement at the next speed bump (BTDT).

Mine were held on with double sided sticky tape.  It looses it's 'stick'
with time.
