Oil starvation, 3B

I studied my 3B oil pan last night, and re-read Alex Neckas's post on
modifications (It's on Chris Miller's site).   His cautionary words about
oil starvation and spun bearings stuck in my head, and his solution sounds
tempting.

However, has anyone considered (or used) an inline oil pressure accumulator?
Accusump is the brand I have seen mostly.  Not only are they not that
expensive, ($150-250) but they can be adapted to perform as an after-run
oiler for turbo cooling, and a pre-oiler to create oil pressure prior to
start up.  It's a very simple pressure accumulator that stores 1-3 qts.
(depending on size) of oil, and maintains oil pressure regardless of what is
happening at the pickup.

One slight downside is additional weight up front.  However, given the
general good design of the 3B pan, and these other benefits, I'm attracted
to this solution.  Any ideas?
