Re:85 UrQ Whacked by SUV

I am aware of two incidences locally of early quattros
running into SUV's as the SUV tried out their anti-lock
brakes systems.  The results were the same.  The Q bumper
slides down under the SUV bumper, and intrudes into the
engine compartment.  Typical dammage includes dammaged
belts, water pumps, covers, air box, power steering brackets,
engine mounts, head, front sheet metal, lights, trim , hood, 
blow out strut inserts, dammaged bushings, etc.

I have one of these unfortunates in rehab in my driveway.
It will probably not be the last one to fall prey to SUV's.
Keep your distance!  Pass if possible.
