Climate Control (A/C programmer).

While we are on the subject of Climate Control...

I had been experiencing shifting of air from defrost to vents when the
A/C was supposed to be blowing on me, and after reading a post on
Al Powell's web site, I completely re-soldered the programmer and it is
working much, much better now! I couldn't find any oil contamination thank
goodness! I just re-flowed the solder and add a little bit more when
necessary.

Also, several years ago, I had problems with the temperature flap. I fixed
it by removing the programmer, and disconnecting the flap motor. I used a
power supply (or battery) to actuate the motor repeatedly through its
full range of movement. What I think this did was to clear dirt that
was on the potentiometer that is part of the servo mechanism. (i.e it senses
the position of the motor/flap). The temperature flap has worked fine
ever since.
