I've been waffling over new tires for the beast fer quite some time now
(got the A-8 rims BEFORE Christmas). Was going to the Firestone SZ50s when
I stopped by Discount Tire on the way back to work. They gave me the Direct
price ($96.00) for SP8000s. All told $461.10 out the door for 205/55ZR16s.
I'm pleased as punch - saving around $140.00 over the Stones. Plus they
have the good euro changers to baby those new rims. No more throwing
adhesive weights of the Fuch Alloys. 
And yes - at long last I've finally worn out those damned Affinitys. It
took 70K miles of HARD driving and a bad toe adjustment - there's still
enough tread left for close to 10K. They sure weren't kidding about an 80K
warrenty...
And no - the Fuch aren't for sale, at least yet...
