Fading to black, or warped

I believe your "*fade*" post of 5-27 indicates that fade is not something any
of us should pay attention to. A single panic stop would and could indicate
that the STOCK pads, stock brakes are the best. You aren't saying that are
you? Addressing maintenance "helps" but those of us looking at upgrades are
beyond that. Or more specifically maybe are doing too much maintenance.
Living with compromises? Fine and dandy, but not all of us want to, and some
other marques specifically don't. Not everyone wants Big Reds either, hardly
the point (and seems to be your only target). Big Reds have a single
compromise, 17in wheels, one even you readily accept by default Dave. We need
more help from you here.
This isn't personal, backpedalling on the importance of fade I'm presuming
isn't either. Some solutions would be better. Indicating that we should all
modify our driving style, sure puts a bone in the pants of every M3/540/M5
driver out there. Me: "You know my q could kick your butt, but because I have
to modify my driving style cuz of the brakes (and/or torsen), I'm just not
gonna."
So far you've indicated that tires and better pads will help. Not if fade is
the problem. So, you are still saying that fade is not important. And maybe
you are also saying that the single panic stop is really not important, since
stockers could outbrake the "better" pads first time bind.
I'm getting confused as to exactly what you are saying... But, the good
news is, I'll still trade ya for those 944CS brakes you have on your RS2...
Let me know where you want me to ship the G60 exchange. Er, ah, I need the
belly pan too, btw.
