The '93 90 came with a free 1-year membership in some auto club or other
(AAA?).  Also with 24-hour roadside assistance for 3 years/50k miles

That's right, usually you can call your dealer and they'll either call
the truck for you or give you a number.  Any company that they refer you
to will be able to tow your Quattro, as long as you tell them in
advance.
