Valve timing, not ignition timing. The idea is to skew
the torque curve such that the torque peak occurs at a
lower RPM value. However, the downside of this is that
you run out of torque at a lower high-end RPM value.
Faster starts, lower top end. But do we really need car
that can cruise at 140mph?
