I think the key to affordable Audi ownership (mine anyway), is buying 
your parts mail order, and doing as much, if not all, of the work 
yourself.  I would not be able to afford my car(s) if I had to pay to have 
the clutch done or the timing belt replaced, etc.

Germany, eh?  I'm sure it's possible to find stuff cheaper there than 
paying someone to import it.  They have to make money too.

I'm sure I'm not the only one, but when you go, I'd be willing to buy 
parts off you that you get out there.
