An easy answer: non-sport vinyl OEM seats. Need I say more? :-)

Well, I wouldn't go that far. My otherwise identical '97 (sans side
airbags) 1.8TQ was only $800 less expensive than the current '98. I feel
that at the sell time it will be largely irrelevant. Besides, after all
the mods that I've planned and will have implemented on the car, it will
most likely go to a fellow enthusiast, who will most certainly prefer
the racing Cobras to the bench-flat, stuffed with explosives vinyl OEM
seats.
But then again, if I cared for retaining the resale value, I would've
never gotten rid of lacquered wooden inlays and the full leather
interior in favour of velour in my 200. I buy cars to enjoy them
according to my own taste and not to worry about retaining their resale
value.
When I come to think about it, I don't recall ever selling the car for
less money than I had originally paid for it. Somehow people like the
clockwork condition of my cars and tend to pay the asking price.
Actually this discussion is largely academic coz I am keeping the OEM
seats anyway.
