All the talk on the list about advancing things made me try to fiddle
with the distributor timing on my 87 5Kq.

It's pretty much useless. The brain will compensate for your adjustments
and the strobing mark will not move. Actually up until you exceed about
15°, then the car won't start altogether.

One problem: there is some sort of plate rivited over the hold down
bolt. Will I have to drill or chisel the top of the rivet off or is

I always drill them out.
