Where did you get that 10-15 hp figure?  I'm curious.

I have a "$500" cam in my '86 Coupe GT, and I would say that it may have 
only added 10-15 hp.  I'm no seat of the pants hp meter, but it wasn't 
tremendous.  10-15 hp is in the neighborhood of 10%.

Do the turbo cams have a lobe for the vacuum pump?  I don't think they 
would, since the turbos dont have vacuum pumps.

If you don't have exhaust, you might want to try that first, before the 
cam.  Get the cam too, but I would do the exhaust first.

When you replace the cam, it's probably a good idea to replace the 
lifters, but that's up to you.  Definitely replace the water pump and 
timing belt tho', unless they're confirmed new.  You're getting in there 
anyway, so it really makes sense.
