It could be the sender, but tough to test by measuring when slamming on
the brakes, etc.  I suppose it could also be that pesky relay that
activates the light/buzzer, going off on it's own due to the "g forces".

have to figure out a way to test these possibilities.  And as you say,
the pickup could be a bit clogged...
