Update: Sprongl wins STPR!!!
Check http://www.flr-scca.com/stpr/ for more info...

I haven't taken a close look at Sprongl's oiling system... he has an oil
cooler mounted externally in the rear wing, and I am sure he must be
running a dry sump system... probably an Audi Sport/SMS part?

When I was at a Hungarian rally several months ago, an S2 was competing
in it, and placed an impressive third overall, behind a group A Impreza
and a group A Celica. Anyway, the S2 was up for sale... included were
the car itself, full group A Spec, (gravel and tarmac suspensions,
gravel and tarmac (water cooled Alcon) brakes, carbon fibre interior,
six speed dog box tranny and many other spares including Fuchs gravel
wheels and ten spoke Audi Sport tarmac wheels) The car was beautifully
prepared, as with all European rally cars, and was for sale at $35,000
(!!!)
The reason for the low price was that the S2 FIA homologation is up
soon, and the car will no longer be allowed to run.
In my view, worth every penny, and I would have bought it had I the
money...

Another option? Hike on up to John Buffum's shop... his S2 (won 3 PRO
Rally championships) is for sale at the paltry sum of $90,000... any
takers?
