As strange as it might sound do you have the AC on?  It could be that the
evaporator water could be getting backed up and not draining out, and
running into the car's electronics.  I had this happen once with my 88 90.
The hose was clogged and water started to leak in the passenger side
footwell.  I didn't realize it until the car shut off.  A turn of the key of
and on made it alright, but the water got the puter slightly wet.
