Mobil 1, oil changes, Lubro Moly

Well, I replaced my oil pan gasket last Saturday, and installed that oil
drain valve.

Took me a while to scrape the old gasket material off the bottom of the
block, but I got it off. The right tools would have helped alot.

I found that one of the little plastic clips on the sump had broken off,
leaving three of them. It was in the bottom of the oil pan. I was _very_
surprised to see something that looked like a big (not really, but for
something in your engine it's big) piece of metal in there. I had a bit
of denting to my oil pan, that's why that clip broke off. The plastic
thing was still attached fine, so I'm not concerned.

I took the oil pan out and cleaned it pretty good. I noticed that in the,
um, left rear corner where the majority of the oil apparently drains back
to the pan was very clean, in relation to the rest of the pan.

My engine internals were a nice clean golden color, everything appeared to
be in order. It's kind neat seeing the word "Germany" on my crankshaft.

I haven't noticed any leaks yet since replacing the gasket. I was a bit
concerned for a while, because the gasket was getting oil on it before I
could get the pan torqued up. I would have preferred that it be totally
dry, but it was a bear to do, as there was the tiniest trickle of oil from
the right rear of the block. It had been draining for quite a while,
AAMOF, when I started it up, it took a second for the oil pressure gauge
to register anything.

Anyway, I was impressed with the cleanliness of the inside of my engine,
and the clean spot on my oil pan. I attribute it to the detergent effect
of Mobil 1, which I have ran consistently (OK, Syntec a couple times) in
this car since I bought it at over 150k miles.

I figure if it wasn't the Mobil 1 that caused the clean spot, that it
might be cleaner in the rest of the pan as well. (Actually, I realize
that the constant flow in that area would keep it cleaner. Not unlike the
Grand Canyon was formed.)

**OK, a question**:

I almost was gonna get some Jectron of Ventil-Sauber for my car, but it
was already past when I wanted to change the oil. Since it should be
changed after this treatment, I decided next oil change will be the
candidate. I just have to time it correctly so I use a full tank with the
treatment just prior to the change.

Which should I run first? I'm thinking Jectron, so the injectors would be
clean, and therefore get the Ventil-Sauber(sp?) to the valves more
efficiently.

Does anyone have any experience with these products?

Thanks,

Ken
