Further interest in '98 Monterey Historic Races?
Just a quick update and reminder on the Monterey Historic Races this year.
I've regurgitated the info post below ... I've still only received a handful
of responses and the deadline for setting up a corral is the end of the
month. I am still willing to coordinate a group buy of tickets if there is
any interest, or I could simply fax the contact info to anyone interested so
you can order tickets yourself. There is no additional cost reduction by
ordering in a group, just that a sufficient number of tickets purchased
simultaneously would qualify us to have our own common parking corral set
aside. There is a discount for purchasing the tickets before the event.
> The event is scheduled for August 14-16. As I stated previously, the
> featured marque is Porsche. They note that this is the 25th anniversary
> of the historic races at Monterey and the 50th anniversary for Porsche.
> Ticket prices are $25 Friday, $35 Saturday and $30 Sunday (with the latter
> two being discounted $5 based on advance purchase). There are also $60
> Sat/Sun and $75 Fri/Sat/Sun tickets available only in advance. I've

> could set a deadline of the end of June ... if we qualified for a corral
> I'd need to send in a single check for all the tickets if we did qualify.
> If we end up not having enough for a corral at that time, there's still
> plenty of time to get the discounted price for admission.
