Re: 89 octane OK in 2.8L V6?
I've got a 1993 90S (fwd only, sigh!) with the 2.8 V6 and I usually run
Premium (92 octane), occasionally I'll run a tank of Super (90 octane),
but that is the minimum I'll use. These are high compression engines and
I believe that performance will suffer with anything less, not to mention
the possibility of extra carbon build up from incomplete burn in the
cylinder.
