Mine does this, and I know what it supposedly is, but haven't bothered
to 
fix it yet.

Under the dash, where the two sections of the column meet (at the crash 
disconnect thingee, the joint there wasn't tight enough (the
interior-most 
section of the column wasn't far enough towards the drivers seat, hence 
didn't stick far enough into the steering wheel when the steering wheel 
nut was tightened.

The fix is to undo the wheel (well maybe you don't even have to do
that), 
clamp the joint together more tightly, and tighten the nut after making
sure 
the wheel is pressed all the way towards the dash.

Right, anyone?
