... I have a similar problem on my 4kQ, but what I have noticed is that when
the clutch engages the compressor will turn a couple times and stop, even
before the clutch disengages.  I've tried turning the compressor by hand and
notice the same behavior.  I assume this to mean that there's something
plugged up (the orfice in the evaporator?)  Now that things are warming up I
was thinking about having it checked out.  Are the symptoms I've described
indicative of something as simple as needing a recharge?
