ac compressor retrofit: 87.5 CGT

Hello List,
I may have asked this some months ago, so please excuse any redundancy.
But with my coupe very nearly road-ready coupled with today's high temp of
107F here in the Alamo city, I gotta ask once more. The car has a York
compressor, which I've been told is a noisy, inefficient beast. The ac
system does'nt work as is (no refrigerant). I don't want to waste time and
refrigerant to see if it could. I understand European Car had a project
(4KQ?) a few years back where they retrofitted the oem York to a newer,
rotary type compressor. Can anyone with this article maybe scan and email
it to me? Or perhaps give me an issue number or date so that I can read it
from a library?
BTW, I will replace all flexible hoses and plan on using R134a.

TIA!
