U-V8Q update

Letting the car dry out for a day didn't get rid
of the acceleration problem, so I went through
and blasted all the electrical contacts and
plugs I could find under the hood with compressed
air and contact cleaner. The good news is that
the problem is almost solved, it's still occasionally
bogs down, but it seems to only do it when the
engine is cold. If it keeps doing it, I'll go in
there and double check to make sure everything is
bone dry.

The idle is taking a precarious nose dive when the
brakes are applied or the car is shifted into reverse
from drive or vice versa, it doesn't die but comes
real close. Any suggestions on where to look? I'm
thinking the ISV, the water could just be a
coincidence.

Otherwise, I think I was really lucky on this one, dropped
by a friends repair shop, and he had a Merycless Benz
diesel with about 4inches of water inside, the instrument
panel lit up like a Christmas tree, and at best a few
bent connecting rods from trying to go through a "puddle"
similar to the one I did. He also had a 12 cylinder BMW
there, that sounded like the engine was seized solid, but
it turned over with a wrench, so the starter (brand new) must
be the culprit, he was kind of hoping to total the car, since
the starter takes a good 6 hours to change and he doesn't look
forward to doing it again.
