I remember ignoring the Bentley question, "Does the battery light come on 
when the ignition key is turned to the on position?"

Then I took it to my mechanic at the time, and he asked the same thing.

We replaced the bulb, it fixed the charging problem, and ever since I try 
to pay attention to what the Bentley says.  I also became a little more 
appreciative of the complexity of these cars.
