RE: OXS light on and I don't know why!



On 84 and up Coupes (and probably your 82 as well) the OXS light is set
by a switch connected to the odometer to remind you to check/replace it.
I think it comes on after the first 60k miles.  You (or your girlfriend) 
may have coincidentally jerked the car about 60k miles since the switch
was reset.  Or perhaps the switch was already enabled but off due to a 
loose connection.
