'88 200TQ: brakes binding if airco switched on

Hello,

I'm new to this list, could not find this in the archives (only a 
quick scan, sorry if I missed anything)

If I use the airco, my brakes (all four wheels) will bind within 30 
minutes  (takes longer if I;m driving at a higher speed). Is 
definitely related to the use of the airco. Seems the master  cylinder 
is too hot (everything returns to normal if I cool down the master 
cylinder with a damp cloth)

Replacing the master cylinder is expensive in Holland, so I would like 
to know if someone else has experienced the same symptom? How hot can 
the master cylinder get?
