Reducing the heads overall height to increase compression, on a "stock"
engine is a waste of time.

You achieve very, very, very  little gain, for allot of money!

Not to forget, you upset the "cam to crank timing".

This REQUIRES you to utilize an adjustable cam sprocket, inorder to
get the timing back to where it belongs.

Audi Sport often "adds material" to the combustion chambers to increase
compression.  But more so to increase turbulence!
