Seeking 5KT Wisdom..........

I have a friend, believe it or not, that owns a 1986 5KT.

He says that often the ignition, "has no spark"?

He further goes on saying that its an intermittent problem,
and that he's already replaced the distributor.

Any ideas as to what the problem may be?
