'87 5k climate control bypass questions...
Yesterday, the a/c in my mother's '87 5k started blowing through the heater
vents ... as you can imagine, this seriously compromises the a/c's
effectiveness when it's 103 degrees outside and thus needs to be fixed ASAP.
However, since she's thinking it may be time to sell it and buy another
newer car (not for reliability reasons but because the paint and other
cosmetics are starting to go!), I would like to make do for now with
bypassing it instead of replacing it.
Someone once mentioned having used an air diverter valve bought from an
acquarium supply store to successfully accomplish this but my search of the
archives turned up nothing ... anyone have a copy they can send me or any
info about this? I could always figure it out myself but being lazy, I
thought I'd check here first... :^)
Thanks.
