For normal use, I don't think the effects will be all that noticeable.  That
said, the car will tend to have a bit more understeer than usual (sorry!)
and the wheel rate of the springs will be softened.  I've successfully done
just the opposite on my old 4k autocross car (i.e., narrowed the rear track
by 1/2") and recommend it for anyone who wants the car to turn-in slightly
quicker ... running smaller rear tires and higher pressure helped quite a
bit as did the 3/8-1/2" of toe-out and zero negative camber!

If you're installing the 5k rear stub axles so you can install the 5k rear
brakes, don't bother ... btdt.  The rear axle assembly won't fit without a
lot of work, either.  :^)
