An A4 Quattro just won the 1st race of the 3rd round of
Australian Super Touring. It should have been 1-2 for Audi but
the #3 Bimmer plowed into the quarter panel of the #2 Audi, bent
it's sheet metal and set the Audi's rear wheel on fire hence that
#2 Audi finished 10th. Damn!

The start was spectacular: the Audi was in the 2nd row and just
rushed forward in-between the two front ones as if they were
standing still. It won about 50m in the very few seconds.

On the straights they were reaching 255km/h in 6th. 

An S-40 did very well, it was faster than the A4 in the straights
but could not carry speed so far into the corner as the Audi did.
It made a desperate attempt to beat the A4 in the corner about
half-way to the finish line but overcooked it and landed in the
grass.
