Mike,
As a rule (of thumb), too much R12 (providing it's above specifications)
will result in LESS performance not MORE.........of course they probably did
not drain the lines after charging which is about .15 to .3 of LB (R12), so
you ended up with the correct amount (more than likely). As a basic rule TOO
much will get you in trouble when the temp. will rise, the excess R12 is
going to generate TOO high a pressure which will kick off your high pressure
switch.........
You are better off by having a little LESS than a little TOO much....
