RE: door handles, ashtrays, and window switches
Maybe they should consider wiring in some kind of capacitor into those door handle lights or load them with tritium or something. Personally, I don't mind fumbling for the handle, but if I crash, I'd be much happier knowing my passengers could find the handles in the dark, even if the car lost all other electrical power.
