trunk capacity story
When the Corrado VR6's first came out, I of course head down to the dealer to
drool and of course, be disgusted at how little the average salesperson knows
about their product. "Uh, yeah it's still supercharged".. Anyway, this bright
red, heart stealer was sold that morning, the salesman proudly tells me. "He (
the purchaser) liked the car, but had to go home, get his golf clubs, and if
they fit in the trunk, he would buy it." I'm standing there (college student
with lots of loan debt and and an appreciation for every nut and bolt in that
machine) completely dumbfounded. Isn't it obvious to take up racquetball in a
situation like this? I guess that's how those sales people keep their jobs;
people who buy new cars, have such stringent criteria.... (not)
I too wish Audi would pull their head out of the sand and run some ads as
impressive as their cars. Just saw a TV spot for Acura's limited production R
type integra; think we'll see any ads for the "S" cars? Think we'll see the
"S" cars at all?
oh well,
