Trading my UrQ for .... a Trabant

(Ridicule, of course, will be gladly accepted "on-list"
for the entertainment of all.)

Not from me. Trabant is a close kin to Audi.
BTW, this car is a live testimony to the results of competition
between the Socialist and Capitalist societies. The plants of the
same Co. got separated by the post war treaty. The Western part
gave the world Audi Quattro, the Eastern - clumsy diesel trucks
IFA and the "world famous" Trabant.
BTW, I have a press release from Trabant for the American market.
Yes, the DDR actually intended to market them over here. This
release is _incredibly_ funny, I keep it around as a conversation
piece for my gearhead buddies. I can try to scan and post it if
there's any interest from the listers.

Good luck with the restoration, William. From the days gone by I
still remember their green plastic bodies with the side opening
hoods.
