oil pressure fluctuation

How much variance should there be on my 89 200T's oil pressure gauge when
coasting or under load?

I just noticed that after the engine is at temperature, the gauge is near 5
bar when I'm driving.  If I release the gas pedal and coast it drops to just
over 2 bars and when I'm idling, it is just under 2 bars.  Is this a normal
range?

Oil and engine temps are fine, oil level is perfect, new 20-50 Pennzoil & Audi
brand filter.  This engine doesn't burn oil.  When the engine is cold the
gauge shows more than 5 bar until the engine warms up.

I do have a squeal, which I believe is a rear main seal that needs replacing.
Since that is vacuum related and I'm not using oil, the two shouldn't be
related, should they?
