Incomplete Re-fueling

Q-listers,

Here's a weird one. I've had my `86 CGT for about four months now, and I
haven't had any major problems with it, other than needing to get the
tranny rebuilt, until now. I've been noticing over the months that when
I go to refuel, I can only get about 14 gallons into the tank. I thought
the CGT's had a 16 gallon tank? The fuel gauge reads almosts a full
tank, so I thought the sender was just worn, but now I'm guessing it's
right. I don't think their's two gallons worth of sediment in my tank; I
think I would've noticed that by now! Is there some sort of air vent or
pressure valve on the gas tank that could've gotten clogged?

And is it possible to switch out my fuel tank for a quattro's 26 gallon
tank? How easy/hard would it be? Just out of curiosity...

Timothy
