Late 80s radios with front and rear window antennas have to have the
antennas connected correctly to the radio.  Someone may have reversed yours,
as they did mine.  On my cars, the antennas are marked with a white or black
band.  I don't recall which is which, but can look it up if you need the
info.   Also check that the connectors are tight at all the amplifiers.
